What Should You Expect?
Quite simply – a whole load of fun! Rafts are built by the entrants and decorated to a set theme, which changes every year. Teams race from the start line at Chester Meadows, down the River Dee, under the suspension bridge, past the bandstand and finish just above the weir. Teams then paddle their creations back to the start point and savour completing the event!
Awards are handed out for a variety of categories, and there’s an event village on the meadows with entertainment, food, drinks and a great atmosphere all day.
